Billy Ray Burkett

Billy Ray Burkett, 72, of Alma, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at his home. He was born March 15, 1951 in Fort Smith to the late Jessie and Shirley (Weburg) Burkett. He was in the heat and air business.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Burkett; a sister, Sharon Russell; four brothers, Rocky, Roger, Gary, and Darrell Burkett.

He is survived by two daughters, Brandy Cedillo and Shanta Feimster, both of Alma; a sister, Lisa Hopson of Van Buren; five grandchildren, Marlee Jo Cedillo, Taylor Cedillo, Ramone Cedillo, Aubriana Feimster, and Kaedyn Feimster; a great-grandson, Sebastian Cedillo; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Cedillo, Darrell Russell, Jackie Hopson, Richard Poor, Alfred Yutterman, John Macias, and Gary Burkett.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
