

Billy Gene Fulgham, 79, passed from this life on February 2, 2011 at a local hospital. He was born to Cecil & Evelyn Fulgham in Hackett, Arkansas. He moved to California in the early 50's but returned to Hackett in1960 to raise his children. Bill moved to Van Buren in 1975 and lived out his remaining years there. He loved the outdoors and spent many weekends camping, boating, and riding his four-wheeler. He also loved flying and bought his first airplane in 1968. Bill loved to work with his hands and restored several antique cars, trucks, and airplanes. Originally a truck driver, he later worked for The Van Buren Co-Op and in the early 1970's he opened a small business, Fliteline Auto Sales, on Towson Avenue in Fort Smith. In later years he made his living with a small dump truck, and for 15 years drove a school bus for the Van Buren School District.
He was preceded in death by wives, Deloris and Jo Rita; a daughter Diana Fulgham; a son James Killian; three brothers Ralph, Bobby and Jimmy Fulgham.
Bill is survived by three daughters Sherri Watson of Van Buren, AR, Dana Wagner and her husband, Mike of Rudy, AR, and Teresa Franklin of Fort Smith, AR; two sons David Fulgham of Charleston, AR, and John Killian of Charlotte, NC; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; four sisters, Charlene Miller of Hackett, AR, Betty Basinger of Blue Springs, MO, Nancy Duncan, Poteau, OK, and Annie Carlton of Hackett, AR; as well as one brother, Leon Fulgham of Fort Smith, AR.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 7, 2011 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Hackett under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Danny Marion, Casey, Wagner, Rocky Boggs, Shane Porter, Bruce Fulgham, and Jimmy Ray Fulgham.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR.
