Billy Shepherd, 77, of Mulberry, AR, died Monday August 6, 2012 in his home. He was born March 28, 1935 in Mulberry, AR to Dal and Bertha Shepherd. He was a retired superintendent for Thompson’s Construction Company, owner and operator of TNT Construction in Ponca City, OK, also had worked as a supervisor for Conoco Oil Company, served in the U.S. Army and attended First Baptist Church in Mulberry, AR.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of the home; two daughters, Kim Tharp of Springfield, MO and Laura Golden of Ozark, AR; a son, Todd Shepherd of Garden Plains, KS; three sisters, Ina King of Greenwood, AR, Betty Darter of Van Buren, AR and Shirley Joy of Alma, AR; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Vine Prairie Baptist Church in Mulberry, AR. with burial at New Cemetery in Mulberry, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Jess Brooks, Walter Shepherd, Dewayne Scowden, Larry White, Larry Nelson and Robby Bruce.
