For 20 years, Bob shared his life and marriage with his beloved wife, Sherry Redding. Their years together were filled with endless love, laughter, and companionship that served as an inspiration to countless others. Additionally, they traveled the world together, making precious memories along the way. She stood at his side steadfastly until he was called home to reunite with his mother and father.
Throughout his life, Bob was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional work ethic, and determination. Driven by his passion for craftsmanship, Bob founded his own cabinet shop, Kitchen & Bath Ideas, in Van Buren, Arkansas, in 1984. What began as his own business venture grew into a source of pride as he and his staff provided high-quality, custom cabinetry to customers throughout the country. He was also a faithful member of River of Life Fellowship and served as a valued member of the Board of Directors for several years, where he contributed his time, leadership, and dedication to the church and its congregation.
One of the main lessons that Bob tried to teach to others, whether they were family, friends, or strangers, was the importance of financial literacy. If that meant driving to the other side of town to get gas that was a few cents cheaper or having one of his workers hold onto whatever they were hauling with all their might in the back of a truck instead of purchasing straps so he could save a few dollars, then so be it.
Bob was a man for the people – a natural leader and mentor with a wealth of knowledge. He had a genuine love for humanity and took the time to get to know everyone he met; leaving people feeling seen, valued, and cared for. His greatest legacy was not what he knew, but the lives he touched along the way. To know Bob was to love Bob and to love him was a blessing. The mark he left on the people who knew him will be imprinted in their hearts forever.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Redding of Alma; three sons, Stephan Graham and his spouse, Sylvia, of Van Buren, Chris Coombes and his spouse, Alicia, of Alma, and Joshua Coombes of Alma; three daughters Denise Redding and Diana Redding, both of Coos Bay, Oregon, and Brittany Cox of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Marlee, Octavia, Phoenix, Anastasia, Madisyn, Zachary, and Jetson; two brothers, Phil and his spouse, Sharon, and James and his spouse, Mandy; and several nephews, extended family members and friends.
