Boyd Blake Dunbar, 69, of Alma, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born June 24, 1948 in Galesburg, IL to the late Harry and Helen Dunbar. He was a retired machinist and maintenance worker at Bryant Preserving Plant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Dunbar; daughter, Misty Lee; son, Blake Eugene Dunbar; two brothers, Howard and Steven Dunbar and one sister, Lois Beaty.
He is survived by his daughter, Donita Jaskar of Rogers; granddaughter, Paige Lee of Alma; two sisters, Bonnie Sigler and Barbara Hammond both of Mountainburg; three brothers, Larry Dunbar of Mulberry, Gary Dunbar of Mountainburg, David Lee Dunbar of Bagwell, TX and longtime friend and caretaker, Nicki DeVore and her daughter, Pyper both of Mountainburg.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel in Van Buren. His ashes will be scattered following the service on Logan’s Creek at the low water bridge on Hwy 282 in Crawford Co.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
