Brian Edward McMahen

Brian E. McMahen, 59, of Fort Smith, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026. He was born July 19, 1966 in Irving, Texas to the late James and Elizabeth (Warnock) McMahen, Sr. He was a photographer, and had worked for Edwards Funeral Home. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church Alma, volunteered with their Youth Group, and was a past president of the Optimist Club of Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Dana McMahen of the home; a son, Michael McMahen and wife Jennings of Orlando; two brothers, Jim McMahen and girlfriend Christy Aplin of Gravette, and Robert McMahen and wife Jennifer of Harrison; niece and nephews, Shelby Widner (Stephen), Tyler McMahen, and Oliver Feroe; and a great-nephew, Warner Widner.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, Saturday, June 13, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
