Burle Marie Colton

Burle Marie Colton, 96, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born March 20, 1926 in Van Buren to the late William and Susie (Moore) Phillips. She was retired, and preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Colton; a son, Robert Colton; four sisters, Edna Kelly, Katherine Cluck, Sybil Patterson, and Alta Alstatt; and a brother, William J. Phillips.

She is survived by a daughter, Marsha Johnson and husband Daniel of Mountainburg; a son, Phillip Colton and wife Pam of Mountainburg; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Colton Johnson, Casey Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Stephen Colton, Jerry Harris, and Edwin Watson.

Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
