Carmen Martinez Reyes Picazo

Carmen Martinez Reyes Picazo, 40, of Van Buren, AR, has gone to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2012, in Fort Smith, AR. She was born May 14, 1971, in San Jose, CA. She was a supervisor for a local nursery and a devout Catholic.

She is survived by six beautiful children, Michael Reyes, Christopher Picazo, Elizabeth Picazo, Cassandra Picazo, Tristin Reyes, and Alejandro Reyes of the home; one grand-daughter, Sophia Reyes; her loving mother, Rosa Almaguer of Knoxville, AR; a sister, Janie M. Desilos and husband Aurelio of Alma; three brothers, Roy M. Reyes and wife Mona of Van Buren, Robert Reyes and wife Lori of Fort Smith, and Jaime M. Reyes of Van Buren, who loved her dearly; and twelve nieces and nephews that adored her.

Carmen had a pure heart. She was a strong woman, and a very loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Her smile would light up any room. She accepted people as they were and never passed judgment on anyone. She will be sorely missed by all.

Memorial service will be 4:00 P.M. Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Picazo will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral home in Van Buren, AR.
