
Carolyn Brewer, 73, of Van Buren, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born September 4, 1942 in Van Buren to the late Cecil and Cora Chapin. She was retired from Chuck’s Carpet in Van Buren. She was a member of the Current Church in Van Buren, and helped with their Gathering Free community meal; also a member of First Baptist in Van Buren, where she was a member of the Peace Sunday School class; a member of Bond Special Extension Homemakers Club, and taught sewing at Hope Academy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Wells, and a sister, Phyllis Morton.
She is survived by three daughters, Shannon Cowan of Tulsa, Erin Goff of Reno, NV, and Robin Jackson of Van Buren; two sons, Michael Smith of Van Buren, and Patrick Smith of Chester; a sister, Johnnie White of Fort Smith; two brothers, Danny Eoff of Mountainburg, and Jimmy Don Eoff of Barling; thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Current Church in Van Buren. A private family burial will be under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
