Carolyn Christine Edwards

Carolyn Edwards, 72, of Alma, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in Fort Smith. She was born February 5, 1949 in Oklahoma City to Buddy and Snookie (Johnson) Hughey. She was a retired truck broker.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Edwards of the home; three daughters, Karla Robins and husband Danny of Charleston, Traci Kannett and husband Keith of Alma, and Tai Pulis and husband Flint of Wetherford, TX; three sons, Brady Roberds and wife Sherri of Fort Smith, Cory Roberds of Branch, and Ricky Gonzales of Van Buren; a sister, Robin Ellington and husband Steve of Paris; a brother, Roger Hughey and wife Lydia of Ratcliff; twelve grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Scott Robins, Conner Bell-Whitburn, Blake Metcalf, Jason Hughey, Craig Layes, Ricky Gonzales, and Dalton Roberds.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
