

Charles Shelly, 62, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Fort Smith. He was born July 31, 1959 in Fort Smith, AR. He was a member of Kibler Baptist Church in Alma and he had been a truck driver for AAA Cooper Transportation in Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Shelly and brother, Michael Shelly.
Charles was a pillar to his family and his desire to serve everyone made him all things to all people. He found his greatest joy with a grandkid in his lap or on the tractor. His life was full of love, laughter and hard work. He had an amazing love story with his wife Pam of almost 25 years. His legacy will live on in the hearts of each person who loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Shelly of the home; a daughter, Charity Dixon and her husband Lewis of Cabot; a son Christopher Shelly and his wife Virginia of Alma; his mother, Jimmie Shelly of Van Buren; two sisters, Sheila Randolph and Melissa Shelly, both of Van Buren and six grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Bryson, Henry, Zephaniah and Lilly.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at Kibler Baptist Church with burial to follow at Dyer Cemetery in Dyer under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Randolph, Christopher Shelly, Lewis Dixon, Eric Randolph, Eston Randolph and Bryson Arellanes.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
