Daisy Skaggs

Daisy Skaggs, 89, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at her home. She was born March 8, 1925 in Crawford County to the late Lawson and Mina Spencer. She was a homemaker, and attended Liberty Church in Van Buren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Skaggs; a son, Buddy Skaggs; and a brother, Vernice Hamilton.

She is survived by five daughters, Lois Coker and husband Jimmy of Rudy, Billie Walters and husband Jimmy of Mesa, AZ, Mary Gregory and husband Larry of Haysville, KS, Sheila Gregory and husband Ronnie of Alma, and Brenda Allen of Alma; two sons, David Skaggs of Alma, and John Skaggs and wife Charla of Alma; a brother R.G. Hamilton of Winslow; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lee Gregory, Larry Gregory, Jr., Nick Gregory, Ricky Dodson, Victor Leathers, and Joe McCoy.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
