Danny “Turk” Bates, 64, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 in Fort Smith. He was born August 14, 1952 in Fort Smith to the late William and Virginia Bates, Jr. He was a retired electrician, and had attended Concord Baptist Church.
He is survived by his companion, Sandra Howard of the home; and a brother, Jimmy Bates of Mountainburg.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 at Alma Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
