Danny K. Maples, Sr., 75, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was born August 14, 1948 in Selma, CA to the late Harvey and Anna (Simpson) Maples. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a heavy equipment operator for Bill Harris Construction.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Maples.
He is survived by his daughter, Regina Fernandez of Van Buren; three sons, Johnny Vaughn of Van Buren, Danny Maples, Jr. of Cedarville, and Henry Maples of Fort Smith; three sisters, Leona Keen, Patty Mosley, and Cindy Tollison, all of California; a brother, Jimmy Ferguson of California; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Zane Lopez, Teddy Sigel, Matt Archer, Nathan Clinton, David Young, and Brian Young.
