I knew Dave back in the 70s as I was married to his nephew Robert Cheney.. We all went to same church in Cantril Iowa. We lived with Dave and Jean for a little while.. Dave was a prankster_ teaser _and a incredible singer and preacher.. Always smiling and laughing..He will be greatly missed.. Loving prayers to the Jean and the family...

I did not know Mr. Cheney personally but I connected with him on a spiritual level as he has been on my prayer list for quite some time. He has received his complete and whole healing. Thank you Jesus for that!!
Without ever meeting Mr. Cheney, I came to know him through the traits he passed down to his daughter, Kim.
Kim, like her father, is always happy and smiling and giving her best effort to find laughter and joy in each moment.
Go rest faithful servant. You did well.

Robert & I were visiting Bro. Dave in the hospital a while back and he was very ill at the time and was facing a dangerous surgery, but....as we were leaving the room, he was singing a song of praise to the Lord! Even in his pain and suffering, he was praising!

David was always there with a smile on his face. He sure had a way of making people smile. I have had a great pleasure of knowing him and his sweet wife for many years. They had a love that was ever lasting. I want all of his family to know i am sorry for your loss. We know with our Lord we will one day see him again soon. Love to all

He always had a smile. He would always ask me to get my guitar and sing for him. He was just the sweetest guy!
