Donald Wayne Amos, Sr., 71, of Alma, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born November 3, 1953 in Fort Smith to the late Gene and Betty Lou (Balentine) Amos. He had worked in construction, and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Amos and David Mike Amos.
He is survived by a daughter, Kacy Bird of Van Buren; a son, Donald Amos, Jr. and wife Linda of Alma; a sister, Debra Mendoza of Barling; and two grandchildren, Roger Amos of Fort Smith, and Brooklyn Amos of Van Buren.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2025 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
