Dora Jean Hester, 75, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born January 10, 1947 in Mulberry to the late Bill and Betty (Gregory) Johnston. She was the owner/operator of Continental Beauty College in Fort Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Hester; a daughter, Angela Edwards; and a son, Tony Edwards.
She is survived by a daughter, Casey Janes of Fort Smith; a son, Scott Edwards of Greenwood; a sister, Kippy Bland of Alma; three brothers, Billy, John, and Randall Johnston, all of Alma; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a bonus daughter, Barbara Kelly of Barling.
Family-hosted memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022 at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church in Alma. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
