Dorla "Vickie" McCabe

Dorla “Vickie” McCabe, 79, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014. She was born July 7, 1935 in Delta, CO to the late Wayne and Faith McEwen Vernon. She was a homemaker; a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Van Buren; and loved to quilt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie McCabe.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sellers of Van Buren, and Cindy McCabe of Fort Smith; a son, Wesley McCabe and wife Crystal of Van Buren; a sister, Twila Vernon of Indio, CA; a brother, John Vernon of Bermuda Dunes, CA; five grandchildren, Chad Sellers and companion Miranda, Keith Perrenoud and wife Lori, Faith McCabe, Dallas McCabe, and Cory McCabe; six great-grandchildren, Patrick, Jasmine, Lauryn, Carson, Madden, and Rylan; and a very special caregiver, Yolanda Sellers.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Van Buren with interment to follow at Hight Cemetery in the Pleasant View Community, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Payne, Don Perrenoud, Ron Blair, Cecil Osburn, Shylar Brewer, and Terry McClure.

The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
