Dorothy M. Edmundson, 83, Van Buren died Sunday, March 17, 2013 in a local hospital. She was born May 4, 1929 in Houston, TX to the late Raymond and Maggie Parr. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Extension Homemaker’s Club of Van Buren. She enjoyed crafts and flower gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Parr; and a sister Joann Holtkamp.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frank, of the home; two sons, Robert Edmundson and wife Gwen of Pea Ridge, and Richard Edmundson of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Larry Parr and wife Linda of Humble, TX; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
There will be a public viewing and visitation on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Edwards Van Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
Mrs. Edmundson will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Burial of ashes will be at Fort Smith National Cemetery at a later date.
