Elwood Vernon Morrison, 76, of Mountainburg, AR died Monday, May 27, 2013 in Fort Smith. He was born March 22, 1937 in Columbus, OH to the late George and Helen Morrison. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer with the U.S. Coast Guard, and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by a son, George Morrison of Mountainburg; three granddaughters, Cierra Morrison, Tareyn Morrison, and Kira Morrison; and a great-granddaughter, Eva Hickey.
Mr. Morrison will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR with ashes to be scattered at sea.
