Ercilia Martinez, 65, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, in Fort Smith. She was born November 16, 1959, in Metapán, El Salvador to the late Nicomedes and Victoria Osorio de Martinez. She worked in general production for a poultry plant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Irma Martinez, Jose Luis Martinez, and Rosa Martinez.
She is survived by four children, Daniel Martinez of Van Buren, Kennia Sanchez of South Carolina, Edwin Calderon of Van Buren, and Lidia Martinez of Van Buren; five siblings, Alfonso Martinez, Margod Servellon, Leopoldo Martinez, Manuel de Jesus Martinez, and Rafaela Martinez; as well as ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2025, at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, and 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
