Eva Armstrong, 76, of Dora passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025 in Lufkin, Texas following a short illness. She was born February 4, 1949 in Fort Smith to the late Arthur and Gertrude (Branham) Hogan. Eva graduated from Van Buren High School in 1967. Employed by Donrey Media Group and Stephens Media in Fort Smith until the 1980's, when she moved to Andros Island in The Bahamas and worked for AUTEC until present.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel “Hank” Thompson; and a sister, Beulah Tudor.
She is survived by three nephews, Wes Tudor of Winthrop, Wallace Tudor and wife Patti of Natural Dam, and James Tudor of Lufkin, Texas; a brother, Art Hogan and wife Kathy of Barling; five great-nieces and -nephews, Jeffery Stewart, Wesley Clayton Tudor, Chasity Boyle, April Stover, and Madison Graham, and their children.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Dora Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be her family.
The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
