Floyd “Bob” Jones, 81, of Alma, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 in Van Buren. He was born February 19, 1944 in Chicago. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a police officer with Fairfield Bay Police Department, and retired from sales having received honors for Top Sales Manager. There was nothing he couldn’t do.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Jones and Helen (Wolfe) Oglesby.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Jones of the home; three daughters, Shannon Renfro of Texas, Amber Swink of Van Buren, and Auburn Cloyes of Oklahoma; a son, Greg Jones of Texas; four sisters, Vicki Sharp of North Carolina, Sandy Migliore of Illinois, Kathy Maples of Tennessee, and Judy Terrill of Missouri; two brothers, Ralph Oglesby and Keith Oglesby, both of Illinois; and five grandchildren, Brianna, Collin, Tyler, Evey, and Koda.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
