Frank Edmundson, 91, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 in Pea Ridge. He was born August 10, 1925 in Almeda, TX to the late Frank and Mae Edmundson, Sr. He was a retired Civil Service employee at Fort Chaffee, and served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Edmundson and wife Gwen of Pea Ridge, and Richard Edmundson and wife Kim of Bethlehem, GA; four grandchildren, Kelly Pyle of Van Buren, Caleb Barnett of Benton, Rachel Burns of Springfield, and Jason Edmundson of Fort Smith; and five great-grandchildren, Ethan Pyle, Corban Barnett, Maggie Burns, and Alexa and Chase Pyle.
Private burial of ashes will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 1028 Mitzi Lane in Van Buren.
