Gabriel Hernandez Gurrola

Gabriel Hernandez Gurrola, 60, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at his home. He was born February 20, 1963 in Chalchihuites, Mexico to the late Pedro and Delfina (Camacho) Cervantes. He was employed by Walmart, and was a Deacon and Pastor Filemon Miranda's right hand in the gospel at Templo de Alabanza in Van Buren.

He is survived by eleven siblings; his wife, Maria Gurrola; a son, Gabriel Gurrola Jr.; a stepson, Mizraim Palacios; two grandchildren, Eden and Aida Palacios; a stepdaughter, Edlyn Gomez; a son-in-law, Benjamin Gomez; and three grandchildren Josiah, Lillyah, and Bennicio Gomez.

Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
