Geneva Stewart

Geneva Carrie Stewart, 91, of Rudy entered into rest Tuesday, May 5, 2015. She was born August 15, 1923 in Rudy to the late Deaneys and Jane Childers Gentry. She was a founding member of Oliver Springs Freewill Baptist Church. She worked at Darrell Thomas Company for many years, and enjoyed visiting with her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her only son, Michael Keith Stewart; her four brothers, Walter, Ted, Paul, and Amos Gentry; and her four sisters, Jewel Cook, Edna Weeks, Trixie Chadwick and Wanda Arnold.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Nicole Swanson and husband Steve of Barling; a grandson, Kevin Stewart and wife Jenna of Rudy; a great-grandson, Tyler Swanson of Fort Smith; a great-granddaughter, Kenna Stewart of Rudy; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Stewart of Rudy; and several nieces and nephews.

A family-hosted memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Oliver Springs Freewill Baptist Church with interment of ashes to follow at Mount McCurry Cemetery in Rudy. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
