George Washington Maddox, 63, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026. He was born November 21, 1962 in Russellville. He had worked for Tyson Foods.

He is survived by his parents, Harold and Sharon Dixon of Clarksville, and Betty Ridenour of Alma; two brothers, Steven Maddox and wife Tammy of Van Buren, and Dwayne Maddox of Alma; and nephew and nieces, Terry Maddox, Heaven Maddox, and Chelsie Mayo.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2026 at Alma City Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
