

Gerald Jones, 58, of Dyer, died Friday, July 12 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Westark Church of Christ in Fort Smith, and a driver for Wal-Mart. Gerald loved fishing, camping, his grandchildren, and was a faithful husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Ernest Jones, a sister Kay Mitchell, and a brother Gene Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy of the home; a daughter, Sherry Wyninger and husband Chad of Mulberry, AR; three sisters, Joyce Wright of Tenkiller, OK, Betty Krajewski of Van Buren, and Sue Windham of Greenwood; two brothers, Kenny Jones of Kibler, and Robert Jones of Ohio; two grandchildren, Aliya and Jaxon Wyninger both of Mulberry; and his mother-in-law, Mary Kelly of Dyer.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel in Van Buren. Mr. Jones will be cremated following the service with interment of ashes at Dyer Cemetery in Dyer at a later date. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Vardaman, Tom Kelly, Alan Foliart, Debbie Foliart, and the Band of Brothers Wal-Mart Truck Drivers.
The family will visit with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
