Grady Brown

Grady Brown, 95 years of age, departed this life Saturday, January 14, 2012, in a local nursing home. He was the son of Goodman and Laura Belle (Nelson) Brown. He was born July 16, 1916 in Evansville, AR. He was a retired Mill Room employee if Wards/DeSoto Manufacturing of Fort Smith, AR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zella Mae Brown; a grandson, Aaron David Brown; a great grandson, Marc Newsome; seven brothers, Tommy , Arlie, Earnest, Johnson, George, Earl and William Brown.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Rose Brown; two sons, Maloy Brown and his wife Wilma of Van Buren, AR and James Brown and his wife Odessa of Van Buren, AR; a granddaughter - in –law, Linda Brown of Hackett, AR; a grandson, Mark Brown and his wife Rachel of Natural Dam, AR; 8 great grandchildren, Chris Brown, Maria Brown, Lexy Brown, Tyler Newsome, Shannon Braun, Heather Brown, Fred Heckard and Johnny Heckard; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Salem Cemetery Arbor in Cedarville, AR with burial at Salem Cemetery under the directions of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral home in Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Tom Heckard, Fred Heckard, Roy Heckard, Jerry Chapman, Kenneth Jones and Dewey Holbrook.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Gulley, Tom Jones, Harold Johns, Charles Goss and J.T. McMaster.
