Harold Dean Armer, 82, of Muldrow, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 in Fort Smith. He was born January 24, 1937 in Short, OK to the late Climon and Opal Armer. He was retired from the furniture factory, was a cattle rancher, and attended Lee Creek Assembly of God. He was a loved and admired husband, dad, and poppaw; and loved being in the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 57 years, Jerlean Armer; a son, Stevie Armer; a sister, Louise Edwards; two brothers, Leonard and William Armer; and a son-in-law, Doug Martin.

He is survived by three daughters, Yvonne Ulmer and husband Garry of Muldrow, Amy Armer of Roland, and Karla Martin of Muldrow; a son, Rick Armer and wife Rebekah of Muldrow; six sisters, Melvena Thurman of Rock Island, Lula Bates of Mena, Oleta Armer of Roland, Lessie Rogers of Alma, Tressie Long of Sallisaw, and Lola Matthews of Van Buren; two brothers, LG Armer of Short, and James Armer of Muldrow; twelve grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Liberty Assembly of God in Muldrow with interment to follow at Seabolt Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Steven Wilson, Caleb Ruckman, Cody Douglas, Spencer Dewitt, Isaiah Ulmer, Aaron Ruckman, Jeremey Ruckman, and Zach Strong.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Mr. Armer was the nicest man I met when I was in high school. Over the years he was always friendly when I saw him at the Post Office or the store. I’m sure he remembered me from dating Stevie. My fondest memory was at his ranch riding horses. Imagine that. He will be missed.

I met senior bro.Armor a couple of years ago. He was a very nice man and i know one day we will all see him again in Heaven. Bro. An Sis. Armor, Rick an Becky, were members of our church at one time. They are all awesome people. Its makes you feel good to know them.
