Helena Marie Lairamore

Helena Marie Lairamore, 85, of Fort Smith, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She was born April 23,1940 in Bayside Long Island, NY to the late Alexander and Jean (Nevadumskis) Vesa. She worked at Donrey Media, Channel 5, and Owens-Illinois plant.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Lairamore and a brother, William Vesa.

She is survived by three daughters, Christi Lairamore of Fort Smith, Stephanie Garrett and husband Jack of Smithville, VA, and Leslie Parker of Fort Smith; a sister, Patricia Taylor of Lexington, KY; and six grandchildren, Zackary Garrett, Alexander Garrett, Jacob Garrett, Cooper Garrett, Kelsey Fry, and Koby Fry.

Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Jack Garrett, Alex Garrett, Jacob Garrett, Koby Fry, Cooper Garrett, Zack Garret, and Kelsey Fry.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2025 followed by the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
