

Helene Marie Potaufeux McCauley, 92, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born November 16, 1922 in Cormicy, France to the late Emile and Charlotte Potaufeux. She came to this country in 1946. She was the former franchise owner of the 7-Eleven in Van Buren; the deli manager at Sherman’s Grocery for many years; and a longtime member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and St. Michaels Alter Society. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Fredrick McCauley; a daughter, Danielle Rina Martin; a sister, and three brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeannette Jackson and husband Art of Moore, OK; a son, Bill McCauley and wife Judy of Van Buren; six grandchildren, Cindi Breeze and husband Ryan of Alma, Debbie Hewett of Van Buren, Robert Martin and wife Liane Zivitski of Crofton, MD, Jeanne Carroll of Van Buren, Tommy McCauley of Fort Smith, and Jason McCauley of Fayetteville; and eight great-grandchildren, Dayten Lunsford, Brooklyne Lunsford, Caleb Martin, Zoie Lunsford, Ryan Hewett, Zachary Hewett, Zane Lunsford, and Miranda Martin.
Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel at 4100 Alma Highway in Van Buren, with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. until the Rosary hour.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Van Buren with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Breeze, Ryan Hewett, Tom McCauley, Jason McCauley, Art Jackson, and David Nichols.
