Henry Oliver Powers, 80, of Alma, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at his home. He was born May 11, 1944 in Fayetteville to the late Edward and Mary (Combs) Powers. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and had been a sheet metal fabricator.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan D. Powers; a son, Danny Ray Powers; a sister, Theresa Puckett; and three brothers, Donald Powers, Paul Powers, and Billy Gene Powers.
He is survived by a son, William Powers of Moffett; two sisters, Mary Wilson of Fort Smith, and Karen Johnson and husband Tim of Peoria, IL; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Ashes will be placed at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
