Homer F Chamness Jr.

Mr. Homer Chamness, Jr., 81 of Van Buren, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 in his home. He was a retired truck driver after 35 years with Yellow Freight Systems, and was preceded in death by his wife Glenda, and two sons; Gary and Russell Chamness.

Funeral service will be at 10 am Thursday, June 2, in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel, with interment at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

He is survived by three daughters; Donna Bredrick, Brenda Higgins, Diane Metheny, all of Van Buren, a son Doug Chamness of Van Buren, two brothers; Marshall and John Chamness, both of Missouri, seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Metheny, Brad Ball, Toby Bourlin, Jeff Metheny, Bobby Wait, and Johnny Bredrick.

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Savage, Dale Wagnon, Jim Oden, Bill Taylor, Dean Metheny, Johnny Hedge, Somner Breshears, and Kevin Hatfield.

The family will visit with friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
