Ida Louise Turner, 86, of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in her home. She was born May 2, 1924 in Hensley, Arkansas. She was a beautician, homemaker, a Baptist, and a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Turner; two sisters, Norma Jean Rodgers, Ethyln Matheny; and a brother, Richard Miller.
She is survived by one daughter, Connie Hill of Van Buren, AR; one son, Sonny Turner of Pocola, OK; four sisters, Lois Brown of Pocola, OK, Geri Chamberlain of Cape Cod, MA, Patricia Adams of Ozark, AR, and Cathy Fultz of Ozark, AR; four grandchildren, Kimberly McClain, Paul D. Turner, Kenneth Williamson, and Jess Goldsmith; as well as, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 20, 2010 at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Williamson, Jess Goldsmith, Robert Bull, D.J. O’Hagan, and Marcus Sharp.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 20, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR.
