Jack “Jackie” Meadors, Jr., 78, of Alma, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 in Fort Smith. He was born July 31, 1944 in Fort Smith to the late Jack and Betty Jane (Bolling) Meadors, Sr. He served in the U.S. Army, and was the co-owner/operator of Meadors Lumber.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Winfrey; and two brothers, Michael Meadors, Sr., and Richard “Ricky” Meadors.
He is survived by two daughters, Misty Jackson and husband Lee of Mulberry, and Tiffani Meadors of Dora; a son, Eric Wayne Bell of Austin, TX; three sisters, Diane Hunter and husband Wayne of Ruston, LA, Jeanann Harr and husband Harry of Summerville, SC, and Cindy Roberts and husband Rick Sr. of Mulberry; three grandchildren, Austin Jackson and Kaitlyn Jackson of Mulberry, and Hayden Winfrey of Fort Hood, TX; and ten nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Austin Jackson, Lee Jackson, Tyler Meadors, Eric Meadors, Steve Meadors, Rick Roberts, and Hayden Winfrey.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
