

Jerry Don Looney, 79, of Dyer, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at his home. He was born August 3, 1946 in Paris, Arkansas to the late Connie and Elizabeth (Kile) Looney. He served with the U.S. Army National Guard and was retired from Westark Church of Christ as their maintenance manager.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Looney.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Looney of the home; two daughters, Elaine Hill and husband Chris of El Dorado, and Sherry Baxter and husband Kurk of Dyer; two sons, Jason Looney and wife Julie of Castle Rock, CO, and Matthew Looney and wife Tamara of Little Rock; a brother, Allen Looney and wife Alice of Paris; six grandchildren, Anneka (Jacob), Tristen (Ray), Jaden (Reid), Alek, Jaxon, and Maven; and a great-granddaughter, Indigo.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Westark Church of Christ in Fort Smith with interment to follow at Potts Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Alan Foliart, Kurk Baxter, Blake Frost, Duane Binz, Dave Burns, David Morgan, Chris Strasser and Larry Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be Mat Griffin, Jimmy Alston, Earl Flood and Oscar Nolasco.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
