

Jim M. Baldwin, 79, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Fort Smith. He was born January 4, 1937 in Dighton, KS to the late Bill and Louise Dutoit Baldwin. He was a graduate of the Hugo, Colorado High School class of 1954, a retired homebuilder, a poultry farmer, had sold real estate in Denver, CO, and is the current President of the Fort Smith Antique Automobile Club. He loved restoring antique cars, gardening, and his Moluccan cockatoo named Rocky. During his high school years, he lived with his extended family, Dale and Louis Webb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Dean Baldwin.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of the home; two daughters, Kathy Beasley and husband David of Oklahoma City, and Sandie Branham of Alma; three sons, Gary Baldwin and wife Lisa of Fort Smith, Greg Baldwin of Newton, IA, and Kevin Baldwin and wife Robbi of Moore, OK; a sister, Betty Vigil, and sister-in-law, Edna Baldwin both of Russellville; four brothers, Bob Baldwin and wife Ann of Lakeland, FL, Bill Baldwin and wife DeDe of Bacliff, TX, Clifford Baldwin and wife Sharron of Porter, TX, and Roger Baldwin and wife Sherol of Grand Lake, CO; nine grandchildren, Candace Sights, Jessica Lamberth, Amber and Andrew Baldwin, Brittany and Daniel Porter, Lindsey Love and husband Steven, Mikayla Baldwin, and Landon Branham; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Smith with interment to follow at Oak Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Gary Baldwin, Greg Baldwin, Kevin Baldwin, Daniel Porter, Andrew Baldwin, and Landon Branham. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Fort Smith Antique Automobile Club.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
