Jimmy Don House, 72, of Alma, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at his home. He was born June 29, 1950 in Mulberry. He lived in Alma his entire life and graduated from Alma in 1968. He retired from Chesapeake Energy as a mechanic and spent the majority of his life as an oil field mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, cattle and fixing machinery of all kinds. He took great pleasure in teaching others his mechanical knowledge and skills. Over their 51 years of marriage Jimmy and his partner for life Paula enjoyed each other’s company traveling by car to see all the scenery that God created in each of the states.
He was preceded in death by his parents, N. A. and June (Kidd) House; and two brothers, Tommy House and Roy House.
He is survived by his wife, Paula House of the home; a son, Tim House of Alma; a grandson, Skylar Ashlock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial to follow at the Bolton Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Skylar Ashlock, David Couch, Jeff Couch, Donnie Couch, Kory House and Duke Campbell. Honorary Pallbearer will be Kenny James.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
