

Jimmy “Jim” Eugene Slusher, 65, of Van Buren died Monday, February 25, 2013 in his home. He was born May 11, 1947 in Mulberry to the late Johnny Ray and Hazel Slusher. He was in management and retired from Wal-Mart and Advanced Auto Parts. He was a Gideon, a member of the Kibler Assembly of God Church, and served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Janice Slusher, of the home; a daughter, Trisha Dickens and husband Keith of Van Buren; a son, Michael Slusher and wife Jackie of Ponca City, OK; a brother Billy Ray Slusher of Van Buren; four grandchildren, Kolton Dickens, Evan Dickens, Tanner Slusher, and Ashton Slusher.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Freeman, Gerald Harris, Ed Huffstetler, Larry Wright, Marvin Rouscher, and Tilsey Byram.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Edwards Van Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
