Joe Abel, 60, of Alma passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in Fayetteville. He was born December 18, 1963 in Van Buren to the late Lee Ed and Doris (Sossamon) Abel. Joe graduated from Alma High School, was a retired District 1 Volunteer Fireman, and worked as a metal fabricator for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and pets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Abel.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brandi Abel of the home; a brother, Jim Abel of Alma; and his extended family, Katee Curran and Haedyn Denton.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. There are no services are scheduled at this time.
