

John David Pannell, 68, of Mulberry, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at his home. He was born November 2, 1947 in Muskegon, MI to the late Isaac and Helen Pannell. He was a heavy equipment operator, and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Pannell of the home; a daughter, Amanda Fox of Cameron, NC; a son, Luke Pannell of Hattiesburg, MS; three sisters, Sophia Cannedy and husband Doug of Rudy, Kaye Ashing and husband Bill of Mulberry, and Karen Myers and husband Lonnie of Van Buren; a brother, Isaac Afton Pannell III and wife Nellie of Hot Springs; and a granddaughter, Maddie Fox.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Mulberry Church of Christ with interment to follow at New Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Tim Smither, Lonnie Rowe, Keith Millsap, Patrick Allred, Tom Bugg, and Reggie Tucker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dale Millsap, James Millsap, Bill House, Jeff House, Fred Smither, John Callahan, Bob Thrasher, and Bobby Nixon.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
