John Henry Snow, Jr., 60, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 in Fort Smith. He was born July 2, 1955 in McAlester, OK to the late Jack and Mildred Snow. He was a pressman for Weldon, Williams, and Lick.
As an avid Harley-Davison enthusiast, he loved his motorcycles. Whether it be riding with his wife or friends, he made every trip worthwhile. He especially liked to ride solo. With the wind in his face, and open road to wander, any concerns he had vanished. With his music cranked up, of course.
While diligence was never a question regarding his work ethic, his meticulous passion for music was proverbial. His musical catalog included all genres, and 10 on the music dial wasn’t a limit, it was a number to be broken.
His love for his grandchildren was never doubted, always displaying his love and affection for everyone to be seen. If there was ever a template on how to be a grandfather, you might as well put it on the printing press and distribute for all to see. He was the example.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Snow of the home; two sons, John Snow, III and wife Anna of Fort Smith, and Josh Snow and wife Delina of Van Buren; and five grandchildren, Seth Hosier, and Caroline, Madesen, Kirah, and Alison Snow.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Phil Smauder, Kenny Beale, Mike Withers, Paul Painter, Mike Malone, Joe Troop, Glenn Hudgens, Clay Harris, and Seth Davis.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
