Jose proudly served in the United States Navy, where he excelled in navigation. Following his military service, he devoted many years to traveling and seeking new experiences before settling into his religion. He then became a traveling missionary, sharing the Gospel with Spanish-speaking communities and serving others through his faith. He loved church, enjoyed music, and had a compassionate heart for helping those in need.
He was kind, humorous, and wore his heart on his sleeve. His presence is forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his mother, Brunilda Pacheco Lugo; his father, Pablo Madera Flores both of Ludlow, Massachusetts; his children, Joshua Antonio Madera of Ozark, Arkansas, his wife and their three children; Christopher Ryan Madera, his wife and their four children; and Kayla Sue Madera-Keith, and her husband of Van Buren, Arkansas.
He is also survived by his siblings, Elias, Luis, Paul, and Carmen Madera of Ludlow, Massachusetts; extended family members, Hector Madera, Mary Elene; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Kimberlie Sue Hatman, the mother of his children.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice team, friends, family, and all who supported Jose throughout his journey.
