Joyce Ann Sills

Joyce Ann Steele Sills, 82, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born August 14, 1934 in Fort Smith to the late Burl and Nettie Johnson. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Jack Steele and Ernest Sills; a daughter, Marilyn Joann Steele; a sister, Mary Amick; and two brothers, Howard Johnson and Arthur Joe Johnson.

She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Kilgore of Alma; a son, Jimmy Steele and wife Laura of Chester; two sisters, Virginia Malley of Paris, TN, and Roberta Myers of Greeley, CO; three brothers, Glen Johnson of Edinburg, VA, Lewis Johnson of Pontotoc, MS, and Bob Johnson of Van Buren; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 12:00 noon, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2016, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
