Judy Mae Scantlin, 57, of Dyer, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in Fort Smith. She was born March 6, 1961 in Dos Palos, CA to the late W.T. and Anna Mae (Dehart) Lloyd. She was a 1979 graduate of Van Buren High School, a homemaker, and devoted wife and mother. She had worked at Whirlpool, was a member of Liberty Fellowship, and operated Mom’s 24/7 Taxi Service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Stephen and James Lloyd, and a brother-in-law, Dennis Ward.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, J.R. Scantlin of the home; a daughter, Judy Ann Scantlin of the home; two sons, Thomas Scantlin and Michael Scantlin, both of the home; two sisters, Helen Yakley and husband Herman of Alma, and Gail Ward of Alma; a brother, Ricky Lloyd and wife Janice of Van Buren; nine nieces, and eight nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Dyer Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Will Lloyd, Jeremy Lloyd, Matt Lloyd, Herman Yakley, Jr., Jeff Yakley, and David Springer.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
