

Kenneth H. McClendon, 83, of Cedarville, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born May 16, 1934 in Alma to the late Carl and Ruby McClendon. He had retired from Dixie Cup after 39 years. He had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedarville since 1974 where he was a Deacon, a Sunday school teacher, and a food bank volunteer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ollie and Julie Gann, and an uncle, Charlie Gann.
He is survived by his wife, Alma of the home; a son, K.C. McClendon and wife Cindy of Cedarville; a granddaughter, Crissy Inge of Alma; and two great-grandchildren, Lane and LeAnn Inge of Alma.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Cedarville with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Kurt Shaw, Bruce Armentrout, Matt Robinson, Ruben Miller, Gary Parks, and Brandon Inge. Honorary pallbearers will be John Justman, Bob Motes, Ronnie Dye, Cecil Freeman, Clarence Richards, Harold Johns, Jim Johns, Carl Morton, and Terry Bibbs.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
