

Leon “Buddy” Stevens, 59, of Kibler, Arkansas, died Friday, November 26, 2010 in a local hospital. Born in Pocatello, Idaho on June 15, 1951, he served in the U.S. Army, was a self-employed auto mechanic and a member and deacon at Highway to Heaven in Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Stevens of the home; two daughters, Misty Flynn and husband Eric of Van Buren, and Christy Jordan and husband Tony of Kibler; one son, Shon Stevens of Van Buren; one sister, Bonnie Capek of Alma; six grandchildren, Taylor, Brittani, Destiny, Macey, John, and Tannor; two step-grandchildren, Ariel and Brett; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and church friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Les Wilson, Larry Blevins, Dannie Sills, William Sills, Steven Roberts, James Stevens and John Riddle. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Flynn, Tony Jordan and Rodney Beckham.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR.
