Leonor Alicia Holland

We are saddened to share the passing of our beloved Nana, Leonor Alice Holland, 96, of El Paso, Texas. A woman whose warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love touched everyone she met. She reunited with her loved ones in the presence of our Lord on Saturday, September 6, 2025, when she passed peacefully in her sleep. Nana taught us the meaning of grace, resilience, and unconditional love. Her smile filled our homes, and her stories will live on in our hearts. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains in every memory, every tradition, and every life she shaped. We will miss her dearly, but we are forever grateful for the time we had and the love she gave so freely.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Holland Sr.; and a daughter, Catherine Palmer.

She is survived by her son, James H. Holland Jr. and wife Glena; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2025, at Saint Michaels Catholic Church with burial of ashes to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Arrangements in El Paso were under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.
