Leroy Paxton, 86, of Van Buren, died Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in his home. He was born January 31, 1923 in Oregon, MO. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was retired from the maintenance department at Whirlpool. He is survived by his wife, Dora, of the home; three daughters, Billie Robbins and her husband Ron of Van Buren, AR, Carol Paxton of Van Buren, AR, and Patricia Marquis and her husband Corey of Van Buren, AR; one son, Jackie Paxton and his wife, Carolyn of Van Buren, AR; one sister, Julia Smith of McKinleyville, CA; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 18, 2009 at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Eugene Kimble, Ron Robbins, Johnny Key, Randy Jones, Larry Kimball and Ray Parks. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
